The total number of coronavirus cases across the world has climbed to 2.6 million, and the death toll has reached 183,283. On the positive side, 710,285 people have been recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University.

1. US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order temporarily suspending the approval of some green cards to protect American workers.

2. The US has recorded 1,738 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours: AFP news agency reported quoting Johns Hopkins.

3. The World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday that he hoped the Trump administration would reconsider its suspension of WHO funding.
