With the number of confirmed coronavirus positive cases crossing the 900-mark in the country, a major contingency plan is being put into place for private hospital in Delhi NCR wherein Covid-19 cases will be isolated from non Covid-19 ones.
Sources have told NewsMobile that a leading hospital with multiple branches spread across the country has designated its hospitals in red, yellow and green categories to segregate and isolate Covid-19 cases from other cases.
The Red category hospitals will only be for confirmed Covid-19 cases while yellow category hospitals will be for suspected Covid-19 cases. Green category hospitals will deal with all other medical cases.

The numbers in India shot up to 918 confirmed cases on Saturday. Of these 819 are active cases, 79 have been discharged and 19 deaths.
Union Health Ministry has said that rigorous contact-tracing is being undertaken across the country and that the focus currently was on setting-up dedicated Covid-19 hospitals. ICMR has said that 44 private laboratories have been accorded approval to test for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the setting up of an emergency fund against Covid-19 called the ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief Fund’ which is accepting donations from people of all walks of life. He shared account details and mode of payment through his Twitter handle.
