Doctors in the United Kingdom are all set to be given permission to prioritise Coronavirus patients and withdraw treatment to those who aren’t responding to treatment. A directive on this matter is likely to be issued by the UK government soon to doctors working with the National Health Service (NHS).
The directive is likely to permit doctors to either withdraw and/or prioritise treatment to be extended to the coronavirus patients.
Doctors will be permitted to withdraw treatment to those who aren’t responding or they could even prioritise treatment for young and health over those who have ailments such as diabetes, hypertension etc.
Britain is running out of hospital ventilators, surgical equipment and hospital beds to treat the patients.

The move comes in the wake of the UK battling the crumbling health infrastructure which is unable to cope up with the increasing number of coronavirus cases.
Italy has already witnessed a similar scenario where many senior citizens aren’t being treated and being left to fend for themselves, even as authorities struggle to deal with the increasing number of cases.
Italy has overtaken the province of Hubei in China and has now the most number of deaths related to COVID-19.
