Men in Blue mark maiden T20I series win in NZ; beat Kiwis by 10-wickets in super over

Hamilton: Men in Blue on Wednesday created history as India clinch five-match T20 series in New Zealand.

After the match was tied, New Zealand set a target of 18-runs for India in Super Over and it was Rohit Sharma who finished off thing in style hitting two back-to-back sixes on last two deliveries to win the third T20.

Earlier int he game chasing the target of 180-runs, Kiwis ended their innings levelling scores with India.

Despite slow pitch, Rohit Sharma was blazing right from the beginning and smashed a half-century in just 23 balls. Sharma played a knock of 65-runs.

While skipper Virat Kohli played a quick knock of 38-runs.

Men in Blue will be looking forward to sealing the series as India is leading the five-match series by 2-0. While it will be a do-or-die match for Kiwis.

If India win the third T20, this will be India’s maiden T20I series win in New Zealand.

In the second T20, India defeated Kiwis by seven-wickets.

BRIEF SCORE: India- 179/5 in 20-overs
