Delhi got first-of-its-kind ‘smog tower’ on Friday that became operational today itself. The 20-foot-tall prototype of air purifier has been installed at south Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar Central Market.

The equipment has been installed by the Traders Association Lajpat Nagar (TALN) with the help of east Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir.

The cricketer-turned-politician tweeted about the smog tower, saying: “My Name is Gautam Gambhir. I don’t believe in talking, I believe in changing lives! Thank Hon’ble HM Amit Shah Ji for continuous support.”
