SPG Director Arun Kumar Sinha’s deputation tenure extended till 2021

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Monday approved the extension in the deputation tenure of Special Protection Group (SPG) director IPS Arun Kumar Sinha from 19 March 2020 to 30 July 2021.

Sinha is a 1987 batch IPS officer of Kerala cadre. Earlier in 2018, his deputation was extended for two years.

Sinha is known for his exemplary professionalism and has been responsible in providing SPG a new direction to deal, with the future challenges especially threats in the era of cyber warfare.

During PM’s recent trip to the US, SPG managed multiple challenges to security in an outstanding manner, which demonstrated Sinha’s professional leadership skills as the head of the Special Protection Guard.
