Congress leaders give adjournment notice in LS over law and order situation in UP

Congress leader Adhiraj Ranjan and party’s chief Kodikunnil Suresh on Friday gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha on the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

The opposition-led government has been targeting the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government over the problem of law and order situation after a rape survivor was set on fire while she was going to court for the hearing of the case in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier today Mayawati said “Crimes against women are on the rise in Uttar Pradesh, but the state government is sleeping.

She also said Police here and also in Delhi should take inspiration from Hyderabad Police, but unfortunately, here criminals are treated like state guests, there is jungle raj in UP right now.”

The four accused in the case of rape and murder of a woman veterinarian have been killed in an encounter with police at Chatanpally of Shadnagar, 50 km from Hyderabad.

All four accused in Hyderabad veterinarian’s rape and murder case were killed in an encounter at 3:30 am on Friday, Cyberabad police said.
