The EU has sent out a questionnaire to the company and sought details including certain documents.

Reuters has reported that the notice sent by the European Commission seeks to enquire into Google’s collection of data pertaining to local search services, online advertising, online advertisement targeting services, log in services, web browsers etc.

In recent times, the European Competition Commission has handed out fines worth 8 Billion Euros to the information technology giant.

Google has, however, said that it works in accordance with the local regulations and the users are at liberty to delete their data at any point of time, according to their convenience. Further, they pointed that they use the data to give the users a good viewing experience and to enhance business.
