Did Alka Lamba put Congress’ symbol on her t-shirt? Here’s the truth!

Date:

A picture of Congress leader Alka Lamba is doing rounds on social media with the claim she was campaigning for her party by sporting its election symbol on her t-shirt.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the picture to be manipulated.

On putting the viral picture through a simple Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture which had the badge of the Indian National flag and not the Congress Party symbol.

The original picture was tweeted by Lamba herself on the occasion of Independence Day.

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage it is pretty clear that the picture was manipulated using Photoshop software.

Meanwhile, after the FAKE picture started making rounds on social media, Lamba lashed out in a tweet:“जाहिल घटिया अंध भक्त मेरी एक फोटो के साथ छेड़छाड़ कर अभद्रता फ़ैला रहे हैं (Illiterate blind bhakts are making indecent comments by tampering one of my photos -translated)”.
