New Delhi: BJP working president JP Nadda on Thursday said that elections to elect party’s new national president will be held in December later this year.
“We will conduct the national level election of the organisation in the month of December,” Nadda said in a press conference held at party headquarters.
बूथ का चुनाव हमारे यहां 10 अक्टूबर से 30 अक्टूबर तक चलेगा, नवंबर में जिला इकाइयों का चुनाव होगा और उसके बाद राज्य के चुनाव होंगे।

Nadda also said that BJP’s membership is set to increase by seven crore, taking the total number of members to 18 crore.

Elaborating on the BJP’s membership drive, he said the process of collecting the data of the seven crore new members was still on and once it was completed, the party’s total membership strength would be 18 crore.

He further said the booth elections will be conducted from October 10 to October 30, while the district units elections will be held in November and state elections will be held thereafter.
The BJP launched its membership drive from Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, on July 6 and the exercise ended on August 20.
JP Nadda was appointed BJP’s working president in June this year following current party president and Gandhinagar MP Shah’s elevation as the Home Minister in Narendra Modi’s government.
