Did people in Balochistan wave BJP flags? Here’s the fact check

Date:

A video is doing rounds on social media with the claim that BJP has opened its unit in Balochistan.

In the video, a group of people are seen waving BJP flag. Some burqa-clad women can also be seen in the video. A text on the video says this is not India but Pakistan (Balochistan).

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile did a fact check and found that the video was shot in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

In the video, locals are accompanying BJP candidate Sofi Yousuf on his way to file his nomination papers.

Yousuf had himself tweeted a video of the same procession on March 30, 2019.

The clip from the same rally is now being shared with a misleading caption that states the BJP has opened a branch in Balochistan.

Hence, the above information proves that the claim attached to the video is FAKE.
