They will continue in some places of Kashmir for some time,” said Munir Khan, one of the senior-most officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police, at a press conference in Srinagar. He further added that only a few pellet injuries had been reported and they have bene treated.
The officer said the main focus at the moment is to ensure peaceful Independence Day celebrations across the state.

On Tuesday, the government had justified that the curbs were a a trade-off between restrictions and loss of life and the government had chosen restrictions.

Almost all political leaders of the Kashmir Valley, including two former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, are still under detention.

Security has been increased with approximately 50,000 security personnel on duty in the valley.

The restrictions imposed in the Kashmir valley will continue for some time while those in Jammu have been completely removed.
Earlier, basis a plea the Apex Court refused to interfere in administrative restrictions imposed and said it was too early for it to intervene. It also said that it didn’t want to get into a situation of a day-to-day administrator.
