The makers of Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ released new pictures of the actor’s looks on Thursday.
In the movie, Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a cop, a character he’s taken up after almost 25 years since films like Moondru Mugam and Pandiyan.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film has been creating high anticipation among fans, with some leaked photos from the sets going viral on the internet. The makers also made an open call for fans to submit their most creative poster designs for the film.
Releasing the pictures, filmmaker AR Murugadoss, wrote, “Hi guys.. The HD photos of our very own Thalaivar & Title Design of #Darbar will be released 7:00PM today, get creative and do what you do the best #Darbarposterdesign, best design will be selected and released officially.”

The film is being produced by Lyca Productions and marks the first time collaboration between AR Murugadoss and Rajinikanth. This would be the third outing for Lyca Productions with Rajinikanth after Kaala and 2.0.
While the first poster of Darbar was released earlier this year.
The film also features Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Yogi Babu, Jeeva, Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Manobala, Suman, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh and Bose Venkat in the cast.
While the release date is yet to be confirmed, the makers will likely release it on Pongal in 2020.
