Glacier Express – Switzerland
This train ride connects two of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain resorts, Zermatt and St Moritz.
It takes one through the Swiss Alps passing through 91 tunnels and 291 bridges. The highest point in the ride is at 6706 feet, the Oberalp Pass.
It also passes through the famous Landwasser Viaduct, a six-arch structure standing 200 feet and plunging into a tunnel into the mountainside.

Bergen Line between Oslo and Bergen via Flåm – Norway
This is a beautiful mountain landscape that takes you to Norway’s highest station, Finse (1222m). It is also the world’s steepest railway line.

West Highland Line, Glasgow to Mallaig – Scotland
The West Highland Line passes through the remote wilds of Rannoch Moor before reaching Fort William. It also passes through the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous because of its feature in the Harry Potter film series, before arriving at the port city of Mallaig.

The Centovalli Railway between Locarno and Domodossola – Italy and Switzerland

The 14-day journey, crosses a 2000-mile passage between Istanbul, Turkey to finally reach Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It crosses a total of 8 countries during the journey and is the perfect way to catch a glimpse of Europe at a leisurely pace.


It also passes by the Bran Castle, Transylvania, also known as ‘Dracula’s Castle’. It then travels through Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Poland before arriving in Prague.
