10 Greatest films of all times you must watch

A popular film Journal has been conducting a survey of film critics every ten years for the purpose of deciding on the best films ever made. The poll was started in 1952. The most popular film which has usually on the top is Citizen Kane. The film has topped the list for the past five decades; from 1962 to 2002.

In 2012 the latest list came out and we are going to tell you which films made it to the list.

10 Greatest FilmsTokyo Story

Tokyo Story by Yasujiro Ozu (1953) – It is a Japanese drama film and tells a story of an aging couple who visit Tokyo to meet their grown-up children.

2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick (1968) – The film follows the journey to Jupiter of a sentient computer called Hal. The film deals with the concept of human evolution, artificial intelligence, and extraterrestrial life

Citizen Kane by Orson Welles (1941) – The film is partly based on the life of American Newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst, Chicago Tycoons Samuel Insull, and Harold McCormick.

8 ½  by Federico Fellini (1963) – It is a comedy-drama. The main character Guido Anselmi is a famous Italian Director who is facing a director’s block. He has lost interest. As he struggles to cope with the situation a series of flashbacks and dreams delve into his memories and fantasies.

Taxi Driver by Martin Scorsese (1976) – The film follows a Vietnam War Vet, who in order to cope with his insomnia, becomes a taxi driver in New York city during. The film is about how he spends time in between and how a girl he loves is not reconciling with him, because he takes her to a Swedish Sex education film.

Apocalypse Now by Francis Ford Coppola (1979) – The film is set during the Vietnam war where a captain is assigned to find and terminate a Colonel gone rogue. His journey to find the colonel forms the basis of the story and also in a surreal way explains the horror of the war.

Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola (1972) – The movie is an epic gangster movie and it revolutionized the way gangster movies were made after that. It had Marlon Brando in the lead.
