Sonam Kapoor faces backlash for her ‘anti-war’ post

In the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack and the IAF’s aerial strikes at JeM terror pads at locations across the LoC, people have been contesting about whether they support war or peace in the crucial times.

ActressSonam Kapoor took to her social media handle to talk about her anti-war stance, comparing ‘average’ Indian and Pakistani citizens, saying citizens suffer in a war and soldiers, not the right or left wing extremists who create such situations.

The actor has shared the post originally shared by Humans of Hindutva. Her stance and comments were not well received by netizens, many of who slammed her for the same.

She shared, “The average Indian has more in common with the average Pakistani than he does with a Hindu fundamentalist who wants to bomb in the name of Ram and lynch minorities and rally in support of child rapists.”

“The average Pakistani has more in common with an average Indian than he does with an Islamic fundamentalist who wants to bomb others in the name of Allah and oppress women and put guns in the hands of children.”

This did not go down well with netizen who immediately slammed her.
