Benchmark indices ended in the green on Thursday led by metal, banking and financial services shares. The Sensex closed 118.55 points up at 35,260.54, while the broader NSE Nifty settled at 10,616.70

Jet Airways shares ended 26.41% up after reports that Tata Sons is in talks to buy a controlling stake in the cash-strapped carrier.

The rupee strengthened to 71.87 against the dollar in intraday trade on Thursday, while global oil prices fell further boosting sentiment.
