If you own a Volkswagen and an iPhone, then you can now operate your car using your phone as the German automaker has added the Siri integration to its Car-Net app.
One can use the app to lock and unlock the car, start and stop electric charging and check the remaining estimated mileage. One can also turn on alarms, start the defroster, set the temperature and opt to set up routines using the voice assistant’s shortcuts that arrived with iOS 12. In addition to these services, diagnostics and maintenance information about the car will be available via a Vehicle Health Report and Car-Net Security & Service notifies the customer and provides a simple way to schedule a dealer visit when it’s time for scheduled service.
People who purchase the new Volkswagen models equipped with VW Car-Net Security & Service will receive a six-month trial subscription from Verizon Connect Inc. Volkswagen will charge a certain amount for the monthly subscription of Car- Net post that.
