Coffee vs Chai; Mumbai and Delhi fight it out in this preference analysis

In India, everyone loves their cup of tea or coffee, however, there are city preferences between tea and coffee within the country. Are you aware of the fact that Mumbaikars have a fetish for coffee, while Delhiites swear by their chai?

A survey was conducted by a popular food ordering application based out of Bengaluru named UberEats, and according to this survey, a majority of people living here prefer chai over coffee, though it is true that South India has a high consumption of coffee, and most of the coffee in North India is sourced from the South. Pune follows the list of chai lovers followed by Delhi.

As far as coffee is concerned, Indore has the highest number of coffee lovers in India and Mumbai comes next where people drink coffee two times more than tea. But in Delhi, tea is given preference. The consumption of tea is 31.43 per cent more than coffee.

The varieties of tea preferred by a majority of people is Kadak Chai with ginger followed by masala tea, ice tea, elaichi chai, and Mumbai special cutting chai. In terms of coffee, preference is given to cold coffee followed by traditional filter coffee.
