Djokovic ends Millman’s magic to enter US Open semis

Date:

New York: Ending the dream run of Australian tennis player John Millman in the ongoing US Open, former world number one Novak Djokovic registered a convincing straight-sets win over the former in the quarter-finals of the men’s singles event here at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday.

Millman, who had performed a major turnaround by knocking out Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer from the tournament, suffered a crushing 3-6, 4-6, 4-6 defeat at the hands of his Serbian opponent to storm into the semi-finals.

Djokovic forced Millman to play off the baseline as he took the ball early which allowed him to take control of pace and rallies.
