Vinesh Phogat gets romantic welcome, hitched at the airport

The golden girl of wrestling Vinesh Phogat’s 24th birthday was special as she got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Somvir Rathi and they chose the best time and place, Vinesh Phogat got engaged after she came back winning gold in the ongoing Asian Games and the place she chose was really romantic but a little unusual- airport.

Vinesh-Somvir exchanged rings at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the presence of their family and friends. The cakecutting ceremony also took place at the airport only.

Vinesh and Neeraj were recently in the center of controversy as Vinesh Phogat was linked to Javellin star Neeraj Chopra, but both denied the claims and after her engagement when asked if she got engaged because of this controversy, she told to Times of India, “No, it was nothing like that. For me, that article involving Neeraj didn’t exist. Somvir and I are friends for 7-8 years and the whole country knows about our relationship”.
