Texting or sexting can make or break a relationship

Date:

Texting is the phenomenon of sending written messages through a mobile phone or system. It can enhance or hinder relationships. Whether it is sexting or breaking up, texting plays a major role in both cases.

A group of 205 adults was surveyed between the age group 18 years to 29 years by the researchers of the American Psychological Association. The topic of the research was to check the emotional security, texting habits, and relationship satisfaction of couples in relationships. The results were that the people who explained their partners as having similar texting patterns had greater relationship satisfaction.

Couples who shared the similar kind of texts to each other were more in love, irrespective of the messages sent be it, love messages or issues. Based on the recent findings, how the couples texted was more important than the frequency of the texts for better relationships.

It was also found that a higher percentage of people in the same-sex relationships were frequent or active sexters.
