Akshay Kumar, who is busy with promotional duties of his upcoming film Gold, has expressed his desire that if he ever made a biopic, it will be based on the life of Hima Das.

He also mentioned that these kinds of sports should be encouraged in India. “India has been a little bit weak when it comes to performing in track events and I feel we should encourage and support that form of sports to show the world that we have great talent when it comes to running as we daily run so fast to catch a bus or a train. So, I would love to make a biopic on her life,” Kumar added.
Bollywood’s method actor, Adil Hussain got delighted that Kumar has expressed interest in making a biopic on Hima Das. But he hopes that “an Assamese actor gets to play the character or she herself play the part.”

Replying to Adil’s tweet, a user requested to “save Hima as she is precious.” The user further added “she is running her first senior international event and you all are disturbing her with talks of films and casting. A biopic can wait. Do it in 2030.”
I don’t know Akshay Kumar. Never met him. It would be appreciate if she is left alone to do her practice.
But I guess no one can stop anyone from making a movie hence I suggested an Assamese Actor to play her role. @mrinalt1 https://t.co/ZwcjdJ9wO6— Adil hussain (@_AdilHussain) July 28, 2018
