As speculations about pre-poll alliances ahead of Lok Sabha elections next year gathers pace, Mayawati on Tuesday sent out a strong message to BSP leaders and party workers by sacking Jai Prakash Singh – the party’s national coordinator – for ‘making personal remarks against leadership of rival parties.’
She also asked them to not comment on possible tie-ups till an official announcement is made. “In Uttar Pradesh and in other states as well, until an alliance with a party is announced, members of the Bahujan Samaj Party should refrain from speaking anything about alliance at any level. They should leave it to the High Command,” said Mayawati told ANI.

He had also reportedly said that it was time for Mayawati to become the PM.

“I came to know about BSP national coordinator Jai Prakash Singh’s speech in which he spoke against ideology of BSP & also made personal remarks against leadership of rival parties. It’s his personal opinion. So,he has been removed from his post with immediate effect,” Mayawati told ANI.
BSP is expected to play a key role in the General Elections 2019 and has been at the forefront in attacking the BJP government at the centre. The party also aligned with nemesis Samajwadi Party (SP) for UP bypolls earlier this year. And while the party has also been in talks with Congress with an eye on 2019 elections, no formal decision has yet been made.
The BSP is reportedly in talks with the Congress for an alliance for three state Assembly polls slated for December this year – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
Moreover, there have been indications that BSP, SP and Congress have finalised seat-sharing formula for 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh (BSP and SP will contest on 30 seats each).
