FIFA WC18: Croatia, Argentina move ahead to round of 16

Argentina and Croatia won their respective games in Group D on Tuesday to move to ahead to the round of 16 matches, or the knock-out stages. Argentina will face France in the last 16 after finishing second in the group, while Croatia take on Group C runners-up Denmark.

Croatia beat brave Iceland 2-1 to top the Group D. It was a hard fought win for Croatia, who were already through to the last 16. Coach Zlatko Dalic rested most of the side that thumped Argentina 3-0, with only captain Luka Modric and the winger Perisic keeping their places.
