Sunil Chhetri worked his magic and led the country to a win in the Hero Intercontinental Cup. India defeated Kenya 2-0 at Mumbai Football arena on Sunday.
India started on a high note with the first goal, a flick from a free-kick, within seven minutes of the whistle blowing. Though the second half of the game belonged to Kenya, Chhetri steered the team to victory.

Scoring his 64th goal for the country, Chhetri became the second highest goal scorer among active players in the world holding the title jointly with Argentinean star player Lionel Messi.
The highest active goal scorer is Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a previous match of the same tournament, India had blanked Kenya by 3-0.
Chhetri alone had scored eight goals in four matches including a hat-trick against Chinese Taipei.
