The three-term Rajya Sabha MP of the Samajwadi Party, has declared that her assets along with that of her husband, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, have doubled since her last filed affidavit in 2012. The veteran actress filed her nomination for a fourth straight term at the Rajya Sabha.
She has declared movable and immovable assets worth Rs. 493 crores in her affidavit to the Election Commission.
Here’s the list of eye popping assets that the power couple hold together.
– According to the affidavit, the 69-year-old politician, together with her husband, has immovable assets worth over Rs. 460 crores, and their movable assets are valued at Rs. 540 crores, much above the Rs. 343 crores declared in 2012.
– Jaya Bachchan has a pen worth Rs. 9 lakhs, which is a priced possession.
– Her watch collection is worth Rs. 51 lakhs. Interestingly, this is way less than her husband Amitabh Bachchan’s collection, which is estimated at a whopping Rs. 3.4 crore.
– The couple own a 3,175 square metre residential property in Brignogan Plages in France.
– They also have properties in Bhopal, Noida, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai, and in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
– Amitabh Bachchan has declared a Rs. 5.7-crores, three-acre plot in Daulatpur area of Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Jaya Bachchan, herself, owns a Rs. 2.2-crores agricultural land measuring 1.22 hectare in Kakori area of Lucknow.
Poll panel officials say that with assets adding up to a whopping Rs. 1,000 crores, Jaya Bachchan could well be one of the richest Rajya Sabha member to walk the corridors of power.
