Arvind Kejriwal emphasizes on the promise of free-wifi, says it will start ‘soon’

After three years of us awaiting the fulfillment of free-wifi, Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday addressed the citizens residing in the National Capital, emphasizing on the promise that it will begin to function ‘soon’.

The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal had made the promise to Delhiites that if the party comes to power in the national capital, it would provide free Wi-Fi Internet service across Delhi.

“We will soon inform the date of (implementing) free Wi- Fi. But Delhi government is going to implement free Wi-Fi this year and for this, a provision of separate fund will be made in the Budget,” Kejriwal said. 

At the event to mark his government’s third anniversary, Kejriwal said the process to install CCTV cameras across Delhi has been started. He said it will help in ensuring safety of women.

Ahead of the Assembly polls three years back, the party had also promised to install CCTV cameras across the national capital for the safety of the citizens and to prevent crimes.
According to the Public Works Department, CCTV cameras are set to be installed within the next five-six months.
