Aguero scores twice in 2 minutes as City come from behind to beat Burnley

Date:

What started on a very bright note for Burnley in the 3rd round of FA Cup clash against Manchester City soon turned out into disappointment as Sergio Aguero scored twice in two minutes of the second half to turn the tide into the his side favour before Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva sealed the game and gave the game an altogether different look.

Manchester City came from a goal down to win 4-1 and enter the fourth round of FA Cup.

Burnley started very positively and looked well determined to progress through to the next round. They were very disciplined at the back and kept the high flying goal-scorers of Manchester City. The defence line didn’t look penetrable and a 25th minute goal by Ashley Barnes silenced the Etihad Stadium.

City went into the break trailing 1-0, something that has not happened much this season. But once they came back Burnley’s defence looked no match. Sergio Aguero scored in the 56th minute to equalise things and before Burnley could get over the hiccup, they were down 2-1. From lead to 2-1 trail, all happened within a blink of seconds. Aguero scored in the 58th minute to make it 2-1 and then it was a one-way traffic.

Leroy Sane then scored in the 71st minute to make it 3-1 before Bernardo Silva put the game to bed with a 82nd minute strike.
