The POTUS Donald Trump has made yet another faux pas, embarrassing the nation once again. The President has come under harsh criticism for his lack of professionalism. This time, during a call with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, he singled out a female journalist and told the Prime Minister that the journalist, “has a nice smile on her face.”
In the middle of important conversations such as migration and Britain’s exit from the EU, Trump was unable to control his urge to compliment this reporter.
“Well, we have a lot of your Irish press watching us,” Trump said. “And where are you from?” he went on to ask the journalist.
Caitriona Perry, the U.S. bureau chief for Ireland’s RTÉ News, was then called over to Trump’s Oval Office desk just after he told Varadkar that “we have a lot of your Irish press watching us right now,” as reports claim.
Perry later tweeted a video of the exchange, describing the encounter as “bizarre” and rightfully so.

People on social media are calling out Trump’s “creepy behaviour” and some believe it to be harassment. His indecent behaviour has even earned him the title of “Lech-in-chief.”
70-year-old Lech-in-Chief bizarrely flirts with Irish reporter in Oval Office in front of cameras. Trump is a national disgrace! #Dems https://t.co/EEPzzfBVmg

People were quick to call out the misogynistic nature of Trump’s remarks.
Needless to say, male reporters are not told that they have a “nice smile” https://t.co/H8pH5CKZd7

Leave it to the 45th President of the United States to reduce a women of high calibre in her professional field to nothing but her outward appearance.
