According to Sub Inspector Raj Kumar, SHO of Uchana Police Station, Virender was under the influence of alcohol and the incident took place at 9:30 P.M. The deceased constable carried a .32 bore licensed revolver with which he shot himself while imitating the famous scene from Sholay in which Gabbar Singh delivers the dialogue “Ab tera kya hoga Kaliya?” He removed five bullets from the revolver and left in one, put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger. He had performed the stunt several times before successfully; however, this time luck was not quite with him and the bullet pierced through his head leaving him dead on the spot.
