After a long fight with the CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification), the makers of ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ have made it and now they can release the film as they have got a final release date from CBFC. The film is all set to release on 28th July and Ekta Kapoor is now onboard as a presenter and pan-India distributor of the film.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the information as he wrote, “Balaji Motion Pictures present #LipstickUnderMyBurkha. Produced by Prakash Jha and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. 28 July 2017 release.”

Overruling the censor board’s refusal, Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) had issued ‘A’ or adults certificate to feminist drama. The cast of the Alankrita Shrivastava-directorial includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah and Sonal Jha, among others
