Kalaari capital MD quits board amid recent Snapdeal and Flipkart talks

Kalaari capital Managing Director (MD), Vani Kola gave her resignation on 2nd May, due to the willingness of investors to make a deal with SoftBank on Snapdeal‘s sale to Flipkart, according to the reports.

“I regretfully inform you that at this juncture I would be unable to continue to be a part of the board, hence, I hereby tender my resignation from the office of the director of the company and request the board to discharge me of my duties as a director of the company with immediate effect,” Kola wrote in her resignation letter.

Nexus and Kalaari took the first step to resolving the issue which was creating a hindrance in  Snapdeal’s sale to Flipkart. The expected move was taken by the MD Vani Kola is mostly because of her disagreement with this process.

Kalaari and Nexus are still in differences and Softbank has proposed 60 million to Nexus and about $30 million to Kalaari and Snapdeal founders Bansal and Behl have been offered $15 million each with extra $30 million for the management team and staff.
