NDA cadets demand speedy justice for slain Lt. Ummer Fayaz

The candle march that held at India Gate, New Delhi on Saturday evening, witnessed a huge turn up with more than 300 people carrying lighted candles in the fond memory of slain Lieutenant Ummer Fayaz.

With the grieve in their hearts, fellow batchmates who carried out this march chanted slogans like “we will take your revenge” and they showed their anguishment over Pakistan.

Citizens flocked the venue and showed their concerns over the loss of a brave young soldier in the hands of a terrorist. Dignitaries like Chief of Integrated Defence staff, Lieutenant General Satish Dua, the man behind Pok surgical strikes was also present during the procession.

Brother of Lieutenant Sushil Khujaria, who was also the victim of terrorist murder in 2011, said “This is a grave issue which should be dealt with swift action, I lost my brother similarly in 2011 and we might loose few more if there is no adequate action by the government”.

“I am living in Kashmir from past 35 years and Police can easily locate these terrorists if they are pressurized by the government”he added.

Fayaz was one of the most talented NDA cadets who was in the hockey team of NDA academy and he was on his first posting in the valley of Kashmir.

His bullet-riddled body was found on the center streets of the main circle in Shopian town. Police have recognized and have kept reward on the head of these terrorists. He was at his friend’s wedding and he was off duty when he was abducted.
