Look how Indian cricket team wished their mom a Happy Diwali

Date:

Its a special Diwali treat for their moms, by the Indian cricket team.

They sported a unique style of jerseys during the final ODI against New Zealand in Visakhapatnam, bearing their respective mom’s names.

Instead of the usual common tradition of practicing their last names on the back of the jerseys, the Indian cricket wore jerseys where the names of their mothers are placed as a tribute to the most important family member.

To change the trend of mentioning last names, at least for one match, the Indian team wore the jerseys with names of their mothers at the back.

Speaking about this unique style during the toss, Team captian MS Dhoni said, “We are quite used to having the surnames from the Dad’s side, and what’s important is to appreciate the stuff that Mothers have done for us. It’s a very emotional connect and it’s good that it is put on a public platform. I would like to request the whole of India to keep this in mind every day and appreciate them every day.”
