Bengali actor passes away

\ Kolkata, Oct 28 (PTI) Well known Bengali actor\Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay died of cancer last evening.\ Sanghamitra, who was 60, had been diagnosed with the\malignant disease exactly two months back but still kept a\brave front, industry sources said.\ She passed away here at around 7:30 on Thursday\evening.\ Sanghamitra, whose late rites were performed early\this morning, will be remembered for her roles in\blockbuster-family entertainers – Lathi, Sathi, Mittir Barir\Bou, Ek Bar Bol Bhalobasi, Pita Swargo Pita Dharmo among\others.\ She came to the reckoning in big screen in early 90s\and carved her niche.
