Water billing system introduced in Nagaland

Kohima: Joining the world of technology advancement, Public Health Engineering Department, Nagaland on Friday launched first computerised water billing system in the State.

The system which became functional from today for Kohima district was formally launched by Chief Engineer, PHED Nagaland, Kevisekho Kruse in the office of the Executive Engineer Kohima Urban Division.

Water Billing and Revenue Management system is one of the most vital aspects of any water supply system as it governs the financial aspect which is the most important factor for sustainability of any system, said Kruse.

The Department presently is catering to the water supply requirements of 6072 domestic consumers and 12 commercial consumers in Kohima, he said.
