Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha was on Tuesday named the next High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
“He is expected to take up his assignment shortly,” an External Affairs Ministry release announced.

An Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1981 batch, Sinha will succeed incumbent Navtej Sarna, who has been appointed the new Indian Ambassador to the United States.

Viewed as a seasoned diplomat with service crossing 35 years, Sinha has managed key assignments, including at the Indian diplomatic missions in south Asia, the Middle East, Europe, South America and the Permanent Mission of India at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
