All party delegation must talk to everyone: Karan Singh

Srinagar, Sep 1 (PTI) Senior Congress leader Karan Singhtoday said the all-party delegation, which is scheduled tovisit Kashmir on September 4, should talk to ‘everyone’ tofind a way out of the current unrest in the Valley which hasso far claimed 69 lives. "It is my personal opinion that it (all-party delegation)should talk to everyone who is willing to talk because it isonly through dialogue that there can be some movementforward," Singh told reporters here. Singh, son of the last king of Kashmir – Hari Singh,however, said the separatists must be ready to talk to thedelegation too. "They (separatists) should also be ready to talk. If theysay beforehand that they will not talk, then how would therebe a dialogue," he said. The Rajya Sabha member said the situation in the Valleyhas pained him and he has come here to share the pain of thepeople. "I wanted to come early but there was curfew here. I havecome here to share the pain of the people. I am pained by thesituation since the last two months. Many youth have losttheir lives, hundreds have been injured, and business andtourism has come to a standstill," he said. He stated that children’s future is getting affected asthe educational institutions remained closed due torestrictions and strike. "I have come here to meet all of you, to ask you what ishappening and to listen to you. I have come to express mysympathy and I want the peace to return to the Valley," hesaid. "I want the children to return to schools and collegesbecause their future is getting affected. They have to think,their parents have to think about it.
