Puppeteers from WB killed in Jharkhand accident

Jamshedpur, Aug 31 (PTI) Two members of a puppet groupfrom West Bengal were killed and four others were injurieswhen the vehicle carrying them hit a roadside tree nearPatamda in East Singhbhum district, police said today. The incident took place when the puppeteers werereturning to their village under Bara Bazar police station inPurulia district after performing a show at a village fair inPatamda last night. Six members of the group were seriously injured in theaccident and two of them succumbed during treatment at agovernment hospital, police said. Other members of the group, who had decided to stayback in Patamda, took the two bodies to their village. The police were checking if the driver of the vehiclewas drunk. PTI BSNN
