Sabyasachi stood by his signature patterns, but this timealso ventured into the arena of western wear mixing it withtheme of Indian embroidery. "This time around I wanted to create few dresses. Idecided to make some short evening wear, but kept theIndianess alive with my signature work. I can’t leave that asit is the essence of my brand. I am an Indian designer and Ican never let that go away from myself," Sabyasachi told PTI. The vintage range drew its inspiration from the era of1920s to 1960s. It weaved three stories together, first the night clubsin Paris in the 1920’s, second from the Bauhaus school ofstrict architecture and the third was the celebration offinest quality of needle craft from all across the world. The designer, who made his runway debut with LakmeFashion Week in 2002, said doing the grand finale was like ahomecoming. The show was attended by Kareena’s sister KarishmaKapoor, who couldn’t stop adoring her younger sibling as shetook to the ramp. Karishma was seen clicking Kareena’s pictures andcheering for her throughout her long ramp walk. Actress Deepika Padukone, who has been the designer’s oneof the favourite muses, also attended the show.
