DU to come up with three more cut-offs

New Delhi, Aug 17 (PTI) With seats still remainingvacant, Delhi University today announced it will be releasingthree more cut-offs for admission to undergraduate courseswith the sixth list being released on Saturday, a month afterthe varsity started the new academic session. The sixth cut-off will be announced on August 20 andadmissions will be conducted on till August 22. The Universityhas already announced five cut-off lists. DU had earlier announced it will only announce fivecut-off lists and admissions on the vacant seats will be doneon merit system. The admissions under the fifth cut-off listgot over on July 22. The admissions on the vacant seats were done by meritsystem after the fifth cut-off. Registered students had toapply again for vacant seats and a merit list was brought bycollege. The admissions under the merit system got over on August16. "We are restarting the cut-off system for admissions.Many students have withdrawn admissions due to which there arevacant seats in different in many colleges. There will bethree cut-offs," said a University official. The seventh cut-off list will come on August 24 andadmissions will happen till August 26. The eight cut-off listwill be out on August 29 and admissions under this cut-offwill be completed on August 30. PTI GJS VITRG
