Let your hair loosen up: Top 5 haircare tips for monsoon season

Date:

With excessive humidity, comes a fear of damaged hair. But don’t worry, we have a fix for your all your monsoon hair problems. Listed below are a few tips to keep your tresses healthy and shining-

Keep your hair dry: Rainwater is acidic and dirty, so keeping your hair dry is one of the most important rules to follow in order to prevent damage.
Oiling is a mandate: You don’t need to put a lot of oil (unless you have very dry hair). Take a little oil, massage it onto your scalp using your fingertips and you’re done. Simple enough?
Shampoo, at least twice a week: For a healthy and clean scalp, shampoo your hair, at least twice a week. Do not be very rigorous while washing. In case of frizzy hair, use your finger pads while washing them. Soak your hair completely in water before applying shampoo. Always apply conditioner after you shampoo, this is a must.

Use a wide tooth comb: Generally during monsoon season, there is a lot of humidity and it tends to get windy too. So always go for a wide tooth comb to detangle and prevent hair loss.

Watch your diet: What you eat plays a vital role in strengthening hair follicles, thus include items that are rich in protein and iron in your diet. Eggs, walnut, spinach, fish, salmon and curd should be consumed.
