Self-styled Godman found murdered in ashram

Saharanpur: A 65-year-old self-styled Godman was found murdered on Saturday in his Ashram in Biharigarh police station area, police said.

Body of Kaliram was found lying in a pool of blood by some locals in Baba Gorakhnath’s Ashram, Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Jagdish Sharma said.

Prima facie the victim was beaten to death by unidentified persons, he said.

The Godman used to live alone in the Ashram for last several years, he said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, the ASP said, adding that an investigation is underway in the matter.
