Haryana Googles to digital literacy

Date:

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, currently on his US visit , signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with tech giant Google on Friday to promote digital literacy in the state in an effort to take forward Digital India and Digital Haryana programmes.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister called on American businesses to invest in Haryana, exclaiming that the new government in the state has implemented a series of measures like tax relaxations and financial incentives to ease the process of doing business.

Describing Haryana as one of the most developed and industrial states in India, the state offers “infinite opportunities” to investors, Khattar said.

Khattar also highlighted the salient features of the state’s “New Enterprise Promotion Policy 2015, Happening Haryana” at a round table meet on Wednesday with US industry executives from the US-India Business Council (USIBC), made of over 300 top-tier US and Indian companies.
