It finally rains in the capital

New Delhi: The heavy rains came as a sigh of relief for the people living in Delhi-NCR region on Sunday, making the weather pleasant. The Met office has forecast more rainfall here.

“Thundershowers may occur in some parts of the city,” said an official at the India Meteorological Department.

A lot of persons were seen coming out of their homes to enjoy what they were calling a major relief from heat.

Sunday’s minimum temperature settled a notch below the season’s average at 25 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.

Delhi has received 1.6 mm rainfall since Saturday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 80%.
