DPS Noida wins Columban Open Quiz

New Delhi: The 29th edition of the Columban Open Quiz was won by the 4 member team from Delhi Public School, Noida on Saturday. The inter school competition which featured over 200 teams from Delhi-NCR was held at St. Columban School, New Delhi. The annual competition was sponsored by the Oxford University Press (OUP).

The winners, Neeraj Meghnani, Kabir Singh Warakh, Sushain Ghosh and Duttnath Thakur (Comfortably Dumb) received trophy and a cheque of Rs1000 from the host Principal, Bro. Beddoe. Ranjan Kaul, Managing Director, OUP with other guests handed over the cash prizes and certificates to the runners up and other participants.

The quiz featured some interesting rounds (Progressive Clues Round, Infinite Pounce Round, Maha Connect Round, Buzzer) and riveting questions which made the participants put on their thinking caps from the word go.

The tradition of using ex-students as quizmaster for preliminary and quarterfinal round continued this year as well. Adittya Mubayi from Quiz Craft was the quizmaster for the semi final and final rounds.

The event was concluded with everyone singing the anthem of the school.
