DU third cut-off brings relief

New Delhi: Good news for admission seekers. The third cut-off list of DU has considerably dropped, and seats are available for some of the sort-after courses. B Com (Horns) is available in 24 colleges, and B Com in 28 colleges. English and Economics are available in 15 and 13 colleges.

BA programme is available in 35 colleges, and the cut-off for Science subjects have dropped sharply.

Admissions to Science courses are open in Hansraj, Miranda and Ramjas colleges. In Hansraj, the cut-off for Botany, Chemistry and Physics stands at 90%, 95% and 96% respectively while in Miranda B. Sc Life Sciences stands at 89%. For Chemistry in Ramjas, the cut-off is 94%. Most colleges, however, closed admissions for science courses with the second cut-off list.

For B.Com and B.Com (Hon.), seats are vacant after the second cut-off.  In Lady Shri Ram College, admissions are open for B. Com (Hons) at 97% in the third cut-off. However, Daulat Ram, Miranda and Ramjas closed admissions for these courses. While Gargi College admissions are open with 93.5% marks as cut-off for B. Com.

Kamala Nehru College continues admitting students for Economics (Hons) with marks ranging between 95.75% and 98%. Lady Shri Ram College also announced its third list for Economics (Hons) at 97%. English and History, a favourite among aspirants, would also be up for grabs in Daulat Ram College (91.75% to 95.75%), Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (93.5%), Hindu College (93.75% to 97.75%) and Maharaja Agrasen College (89.75% to 91.75%). 

BA has seen a drastic fall in the cut-off percentage in its third list. In Kamala Nehru College, the cut-off for BA ranged between 82.5% and 89% and in LSR it stood at 95.25%. While admissions to Journalism courses closed after the third cut-off list.

Admissions for courses available after the third list will commence from Tuesday.
