Ahmedabad: Modi has won Varanasi, beating Kejriwal, with an estimate 1 lakh votes.

The party is also leading in 18 of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, marching way ahead of the ruling Congress which headed for a setback leading in only eight seats as the counting of votes progressed.

BJP is maintaining its dominance in Chhattisgarh, leading in 10 out of 11 Lok Sabha seats, with former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, who is contesting from Mahasamund, the only Congress candidate who is ahead in the counting.

The BJP has won Vadodora by 402436 votes and is sweeping through Modi’s home state Gujarat, where the party is leading in 24 out of the 26 seats in Gujarat, so far. BJP is leading in all the four parliamentary seats in Himachal Pradesh.

BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate was leading by a margin of 2,08,000 votes over his rival Congress and party General Secretary Madhusudan Mistry.
       
Senior Congress leader Shankarsinh Vaghela and Union Minister Dinsha Patel are trailing in the state which has 26 seats.
       
BJP was leading in four of the total five seats in Uttarakhand, as per the early trends.BJP leader Bhagat Singh Koshyari was leading by over 29,000 votes from Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar constituency,while Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri was leading by well over 10,000 votes from Garhwal seat.
 
BJP candidate Dilip Patel was leading by a margin of over 25,000 votes over Union Minister of State Bharatsinh Solanki in Anand.
       
Filmstar and BJP candidate from Ahmedabad (East) Paresh Rawal was ahead over his Congress rival Himmat Singh Patel.

BJP is leading in Ahmedabad West, Anand, Banaskantha, Bardoli, Chota Udepur, Dahod, Junagadh, Kutch, Mehasana, Navsari, Panchmahals, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surat, Surendranagar and Valsad.
