Justice Rohini to be 1st woman Chief Justice of Delhi HC

New Delhi: Senior most Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Justice G Rohini, is likely to be sworn in as new Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court on April 15. She will become first woman Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.

In February 2014, Collegium of Supreme Court of India, headed by Chief Justice of India P. Sathasivam had nominated Rohini as the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.

Rohini was appointed as the judge at Andhra Pradesh High Court in 2001. Earlier, she was involved in legal journalism, as a reporter and executive editor of Andhra Pradesh Law Journals.
